Weber Wins For Dad

from PBA.com

Pete Weber had some help from above on Sunday.

With thoughts of his father on his mind, the PBA Hall of Famer snapped a 26-event winless streak which dated back to Feb. 2004, and defeated Ryan Shafer in the title match of the 2005 BowlersParadise.com Classic, 189-186, at Stardust Bowl.

“This is pure enjoyment. I’m enjoying this just as much as Dad is up [in heaven]…thanks Dad,” an emotional Weber said, referring to his PBA Hall of Fame father Dick Weber, who passed away in Feb. 2005.
